connectivity
Why ‘connectivity’?
Omal’s mission is to create time and profit by offering the tools you need to minimize the risks and hassles of cash handling. Connectivity is an important part of our delivery.
What is ‘connectivity’?
Connectivity is the ability to transfer data electronically, from the device which generates the data, to wherever the user wants to store or use it.
What advantages does ‘connectivity’ bring?
By enabling electronic transfer of data, connectivity saves operator time, reduces operator errors (e.g. keying errors), and gives an enhanced audit trail, reducing scope for fraud.
Are there disadvantages to ‘connectivity’?
Setting up a device to be ‘connected’ involves an additional step verses using a non-connected device. The different specifications of PCs, printers, networks and software means that realising the connectivity potential can sometimes become quite complex.
What ‘connectivity’ does Omal provide?
On our data generating devices, such as MultiCount, CountEasy, intelligentCounterCache, ValueCount and TruCoin, Omal provides a range of connectivity options designed to allow direct transfer of the data in electronic format to a printer or a Windows PC. Omal does not undertake bespoke software development to input that data to any specific user system, but will help identify a supplier capable of undertaking such development where needed.
